EVEN in 2012 the Internet -- especially in SA IS a scarce resource !

It seems to me that most ISP 's cater ( or try and cater ) for the average ( dishonest ) South African who wants to download the WHOLE Interwebz -- TODAY ! ( and bitches like hell if they cannot )

I will say it again. ISP's should give capped users discount on the 4meg and 10meg lines as they only utilising the amount of data that they have unlike uncapped peeps who rape the internet. charge the uncapped the full amount as they want to download hundreds of gigabytes per month. there is a market for people that needs the speed for streaming, gaming, updates adn work related.

Not happy with Webafrica tonight, 5:22pm I am trying to load webpages and nothing is happening watching my bandwidth monitor and nothing..

Can't get into Battlelog to play battlefield because it never finishes loading.

I have to use a different ISP account just to use the internet.

Which is why I have a capped account cause I need the speed not huge amounts of data, but at the moment WA can't deliver 4Mb nevermind the 10Mb we used to be able to get on their capped accounts

You do know what rape is right? It is not something to just use causally as you have made it out to be. Further more, just because some of use are actually using large amounts of data on things like HD streaming, steam, MSDN or beta testing doesn't mean we abuse it. Next time try to step out of the box before you generalize because of your poor understanding of other uses for the internet.

so much fail. Tried to play team fortress 2 with my mates, keep getting kicked out "unable to connect to steam VAC servers". and its just the WA guys every time that gets kicked. Had to borrow a guys Afrihost account. -.-

I am having constant issues with WA connecting to sites hosted in the MTN Datacentre in Joburg, everything else seems to be working fine. No issues with my prepaid account on afrihost

I have not had this much trouble loading forums/websites for some time. Seems to be limited to local content, international seems to be same as always. Not good.

Cool, got some info around this.
MTN have however marked the issue as resolved on their end just before 9am this morning.

The cause was a connectivity issues between Great Westerford - Cape Town (our DC) and there's - so wasn't related to our network.

^^ Same - timeouts and some of the websites take as long as 5 mins to finish loading. Verrrry slow.
