I am trying to order an new service for the old lady and Web Africa is not answering the phone. What's Up. The first call they hung up on and now I have been waiting for too long.

Dont they want the money?
 
They have answered.

Support seems to be slipping a bit here.
 
Wynsam, I've been using WA for the last 6 months and I only contact them via e-mail.

They are very good as far as I am concerned, replies take ± 30 minutes and they are helpful.

I normally buy 30GB local accounts via EFT / Credit Card and I always get instant activation and when I query regarding payments and such, they are snappy with replies and helpful where need be.

From your own replies to your own post, I'm going to suggest this:

Patience is a virtue!

Maybe they busy today...

I think Web Africa are having problems with the Phone system.
I also called last week and actually had to wait longer than the average TElkom call. The voice on the other side kept on saying "you first in the queue", 2 mins later "you fourth in the queue" and it went on and on (1st,3rd,4th,2nd,1st) for over 30mins.

I then tried they chat help via the web and within seconds i was connected to a support person and he immediately called back. From then on, the service was excellent. Besides the glitch with their telephone systems, overall service is excellent
 
Agreed all my experience with WA has been pretty good. They actually work there it seems :) I have always praised their service every chance I got simply because they have been exceptional particularly against SA standard.
 
I havent EVER had beter service in this country than Webafrica. Infact just last night between 19h and 20h one of their support techies helped me setup dsl on a modem thats not even theirs, a thing wich Openweb refused to do.

Did however turned out that the modem was ****ed, but Telkom gave me a new one :)

Is there something wrong with webafrica? i seem to be downloading slow on i.s news server (file is cached) ????????????
 
I have often read about how good Web Africa's service is and can now say that I have experienced it. I ordered 2 complete DSL packages for my Mom and Mom-in law last week. The service is quick and efficient and their lines are already sorted! Less than 1 week in both cases! Thank you Web Africa - I have sent another client your way this morning!
 
Well they never reply to Support Tickets in the first hour and you really wait long on the telephone for someone to answer.
 
I fortunately haven't ever had a poor experience with Web Africa for the 2+ years I've been using them personally.

I can also say the same for the few months we've been using them as our ISP at work.
 
I ended a call just now, still no answer. WAITED 12mins. Previous time 8mins! Never get a reply from the support tickets. :mad:
 
Hmmm.....They usually reply quickly when i send support tickets, but today it took over 1 hr 30 mins and still no reply....but then they phoned me :D Great Service yet again.
 
Should download their WA chat program. It's good. Just log on there whenever you need help. Its 19megs though... (Stupid South Africa, that's not actually a lot)
