Web Intact (Or intactless service)

You should call or email support with your account details so this can be checked, or call your agent to check your installation.

Signal strength is not the only factor that affects browsing speed.

Connection Quality is more important (usually a percentage) - can you see these figures on your CPE device?

I have called your support sooooo many times, as well as the local agent.

From the first day I have had this problem and the local guys even moved my router to the other end of the house. Still no improvement.

I got another router from the local agent. Still no improvement.

I recently converted my router with a 24db grid dish but still no improvement.

I added staywires to my antenna. Still no improvement.

The local guys are welcome to come and have a look but will I have to pay for this call-out?

You are welcome to pm me for my details.

Ha, what a joke!

Mr Webintact,

I was wondering if you could give us some info on the upgrading process, whe havent heard anything for some time now.

And when will the actual conversions and services be up and running

Rferring to a question a few screens back. I want to set up a server here at home and give a few people access to a SQL Server database using MS's Server software. I need to do some homework (and I'm a total noob with servers), but I'm probably right in assuming I need a fixed IP. Am I right and can I get a fixed IP with GWI?
I'm pretty sure the answer is yes and no. Can someone confim?

The backbone upgrades have already begun, with some links in place already. The CRM system has already been installed and is going through final debugging by the developers.

Hey peeps just wanted to know which AP you guys are using.

Are you using the one GWI sold to you or are you using a cheaper alternative?

Note that GWI does not actually sell equipment - our agents do, and you are not obligated to buy from them.

GWI does, however, rent equipment at an additional R100 p.m.

The only equipment we endorse is the Routerboard RB133/133c CPE running MikroTik OS, which is about as cheap as they get @ about R1000 excl installation.

Linksys is a reasonable alternative, but they don't make CPE's so you still have to buy all the extra bits. Any other brands you use at your own risk.

Where would I get one of these?

Hi,

"Your Internet Address has changed since the beginning of your Mail session. To protect your security, you must login again."

Anyone get the error when using webmail (horde)?

I looked at http://whatismyipaddress.com/

It does change:

10.27.36.86, 41.243.187.1, 198.54.202.102
10.27.36.86, 41.244.225.214, 198.54.202.102

This was 5 minutes apart. The middle proxy server is different all the time. What's up with that?

I just want to read my e-mail through the webmail client.

Some forums, are also logging me out 5 seconds after I logged in and I can not post. Luckily this one still works. MyBB forum does not seem to mind that my IP address is changing every few seconds.

Just wondering if anyone else is has this experience, or is it confined to Oliviershoek Pass tower or maybe the whole Harrismith region?

Best regards,

Murray
