Considering that we are (or should be) on the Verizon network at the moment you more than likely are affected by this.

Im down and out and gatvol, waiting till my dsl line from telkom is installed the buy buy GWI

I'm not even waiting for an alternative. I've cancelled immediately :mad:.
I'm hoping Neotel will cover me shortly, but might try and get an Axxess prepaid package while I wait (just need to find an ADSL router :rolleyes:)
 
I havent seen or heard from Mr Webintact for quite a while now .

I wonder what he has to say about all this?

Spoke with Neotel just now, im the first in my area to enquire on their service, so there is no coverage at the moment but as soon as there is more interested parties the role out will begin, so once again we will be last on the list.

Maybe i should approach all the GWI clients in my area(i know 90% of them personally) and get them all to enquire at Neotel, so that the role out can happen much quicker, because belive me they all feel the same way about this K@K service we are receiving,

There will be a Neotel technician to come to my area and particularly outside of my house to do a signal test.

What did neotel tell you about the speeds, the guy told me that ur min speed will be 300kb/s with a max of 2mb/s.

Another speed test on GWI, this week it was (below) or even worse.

Actual coverage and speed will only know after they tested and come back to me. But I think all Neotel call centre people was told the same story, between 300-600 kbps.

They'll send the local guys out tomorrow.

Can't, wait as the local guys keep on telling me theres nothing wrong with the signal.

Would this be the same GWI support who told me the problem was with my router? Stuff and nonsense.

Yup - make sure they don't charge you.
 
Took my so called wrong :mad: Hardware (Zerowire Router) to a 3rd Party company that Specialize in Wireless and Wireless setup. Tested my Router for me WORKS 100% so why does GWI BULL me by telling us our equipment faulty. It is not my fault they changed their towers. Want answers and soon!!!! FYI heard nothing from ICASA yet

And the Zerowire router was recommended and provided by GWI. They need to get a better excuse!
 
Just got of the phone with GWI to confirm my cancellation request.

On my cancellation form, I requested a refund for May and immediate termination of service, and the lady I spoke to tells me that because I was on a 3Gb limit :eek: (should have been a 5Gb limit if I recall correctly :mad:) and the fact that last month I used ~18Gb they cannot refund me. WTF is wrong with these people :mad::mad::mad:

Anyways, I'll finally be rid of GWI at the end of this month. Thx for a miserable service.
 
JohanG, if I can give you some advice - make sure to stop the debit order at your bank.
 
Good idea, but I also made them send me a confirmation e-mail with the a final date of service, so I shouldn't have a problem with that :rolleyes:.
