Web Page Design help please

As far as I know there are limits to using the express version of their software. Both program-based and legal.

Correct. Not been crippling limitations. Unless you're trying to be big business on the cheap.

Whooa, this guy's doing his first site and you're suggesting Dreamweaver > PHP > MySQL? That's going overboard! :D

Let's take it one step at a time. Some kind of wysiwyg editor like dreamweaver, but not dreamweaver, is your first step. Have a look at Kompozer - I haven't used it, though I did use its predecessor, Nvu. It's a graphical html editor - you won't need to know any html to get up and running.

But html is really not that hard. Someone else suggested w3schools - that is an excellent resource.

I've found w3schools to be awesome for several things now- c++, php, mysql, html, a load of others too.

I develop sites in Dreamweaver using PHP and MySQL. It's not the easiest way to go if you can't even use html...

I HAVE used Kompozer and I second this suggestion for you to use it.

Dreamweaver have great tutorials and there is alot of online tutorials as well...! The tutorials also provide info for the absolute beginners. They can make use of the tutorials to just before the web applications side, which is very very easy!

Yes, Dreamweaver does have online tuts. A little hard for soemone who hasn't done html. That is where everyone should start. Not at dreamweaver.

Its not that Dreamweaver isn't a good program, have great tuts or whatever - its just the initial investment is a little steep. :o

Yeah. what he said. I've made several thousands on Dreamweaver doing web development. Awesome program, it really gives Visual Studio a head-on bash in the php vs aspx field, but it takes a long time to learn.

CMS makes thing so easy these days. Design a logo, pick out a CMS you like, find a theme, and off you go.

Even though I promised myself I wouldn't do any more web work if I could avoid it I'm doing exactly this over the weekend.

You can also google "free web page templates", and then change the template of your choice with MS Frontpage to look like you want it to.

Thanks guys,
I got a program called Bluevoda website builder and seems to be working hundreds hey
