Web sQuad ISP - Feedback Thread #2

Asked the team to send again, please check if you receive it? I see from our logs it went out 26th October, but with all the random cloud issues last week (AWS, Azure etc), it's possible Twillio's sendgrid (the mailing API) had some issues which slipped through our radar.

No internet, second time today we sit and use an LTE ROUTER
It’s simply going from bad to worse
 
Octotel Southern Suburbs: Octotel are aware of an outage affecting various areas, including Athlone. They are investigating.
 
Have been seeing some disconnects around midnight the last couple of days - are you guys doing some maintenance? this is on Openserve @websquadza
 
Regarding my current issue:
There is definitely some kind of shaping / throttling / blocking going on.
And I believe the issues are caused by Octotel.
I say this because this is the same old crap I saw with Vox and I am tired of having to defend my router because that’s always the problem, apparently.

As we have seen in the last 24 hours, my son cannot play games at all now without NordVPN, so I am going to stop messing around and take all my traffic and send it via NordVPN at the network edge so the whole house is on NordVPN and this crap can come to an end.

This is just like iBurst was back in the day

Thanks for your feedback. I can assure you that this is definitely not anything deliberate, on neither our side nor Octotel, there would be a much larger uproar here if Fortnite or other games stop working. That said, I 100% understand the frustration, and we are committed to finding a resolution.

Definitely, something is being eaten somewhere, we need to find out what and where now. My understanding, looking at our ticket thread, is that you are able to MTR to specific IPs, but for some reason, direct connections fail. We'll be in touch directly to run some tests and try determine exactly what could be causing this.
 
Before I do the whole router configuration change i am going to take a smaller Mikrotik RouterBoard and set it up virgin and see what happens if FortNite starts working again then it’s the router

I have noticed lost my internet connection on both alarm systems. Vuma trenched, east Rand.
Was woken up via my cell-phone message coming through.

This happened on 5Nov, between 0:45 and 0:46. It reported check network connection.
It took 1min to come back.
I have now cellular backup.

I think this was part of the Vuma Trenched change that we noted on Wednesday? Any issues since?
