Just left for a bit. Will check shortly.
Archer C2 being used

Would be in your benefit to look into upgrading that router. Not bad at all, but for a Gigabit line I think it would have a hard time.

Definitely get a better router. Play around with the 5ghz WiFi channel until you find one that works well for you.

Hmm.. will see what I can find. Any recommendations? Prefer TP Link.

Well if its TP-Link you prefer, might want to go for the TP-Link Talon AD7200, It is a solid router and IMO perfect for your line.
The least you should get is the TP-Link Archer C7 AC1750. Its just about adequate

Yeah, I have the 8 port one (AC5300)... Use it for LANs when I have mates to game over - but 500m^2 coverage my ass. Had to replace it with cabled unifi solution since I could barely get signal out of the office (house has solid stone walls, so it just nullifies that wifi goodness)

Yeah unfortunately when it comes to these speeds, you simply have to get good equipment to go with it. Otherwise having a Gig connection is kinda redundant.

You know whats so strange with the unifi stuff though? For some reason I cannot explain, when running a speedtest, at any time, it always has +19ms latency, but ONLY when running a speedtest. That +19 doesn't translate into actual stats.

That makes NO sense xD

Out of interest I just plugged in my PC directly into the CPE, and I'm still getting the 20ms (on Vumatel's own server). @websquadza said vuma logs such tests, so let's see what happens?
Edit: @websquadza asked to test on a different machine, same result, so there be something fishy swimming in the network...

Some tweaking, some fiddling, some debugging later, found out that the pcap loopback adapter was guilty for the ping spike (run wireshark on all my machines so have npcap installed on all of them). Disabled loopback and hey presto, it's like magic; no more high ping!

Also, what are these single threaded speeds

Nice find ! Glad everything seems to work as it should now. Now just imagine if you could get half of that throughput on international, and have it be stable.

Oh yeah, for anyone interested, I'm able to get a constant upload of around 2.5MB/s (fluctuates between 2MB/s and 4MB/s, but mostly sticks on 2.5MB/s) to Google Drive (big thing for me since I basically use DriveFS every day). Downloads basically peak at around 80MB/s though, which is great, just wish that upload could be faster.

Just want to leave this here:
