WebAfrica ADSL access problem

My DSLSecure is enabled warichard, do you recommend I disable the settings until we know what is happening with these ports? or in the event that something does happen I can just PM you to remove it for me.

I currently have two prepaid accounts with WA. Shaped and Unshaped.
They both working fine atm, doubt there would be a problem, just saying I am in the general area these faults have started.
 
I had the same problem at my office this morning line port changed so i could only access WA site. A quick call to WA and and got them to disable DSLSecure and I had the internet back.
I would also like to know what is causing this?
My office line is connected to the Barrack Street Exchange as AFAIK.

Telkom made a whole bunch of changes on thier network last night which changed port numbers... it's cause a whole world of trouble with DSL secure users.... should put a sticky on MyADSL for a while or something.

DOH, not that you're going to be able to browse MyADSL if your net isn't working.

you would mean for those with other accounts, or Vodacom3G/dialup etc :cool:
 
okay, will disable that feature now

Just disabled that feature, but i must add how slow the TelkomInternet authentication servers are. I was just switching connections to disable that feature on both my accoutns.

WebAfrica goes like Connecting..., Verifying... registering... done in like 200ms
TelkomInternet stays at Verifying for about 15 seconds, and Registering for another 5 seconds and finally logs on.
