Is it Seacom?
Anyone else finding Webafrica dead slow at the moment?

Edit; not just Webafrica but my Afrihost account is also dog slow..

I'm not sure if WA actually uses Seacom .. but could be wrong. My account is 100% , so must be exchange or something.
I did a speed test with Afrihost to Lancaster and it was terrible, with WA it turned out to be excellent.

oh how i hate telkom
phone to log a call, twat named Simphiwe in the call centre resets the line, says everything is fine now
I tell him its still slow, he says give it 10 mins and call back if its still giving problems
i said no, log a call now
(as it takes 10 mins just to get through to these fools)
he then proceeds to start shouting at me that i must call back in 10 minutes

meh

I would rather say, do a job that you are suited for :D obviously that employee does not take any pride what he is doing. Thinking about it, I can't really blame him. It's Telkom fault to hire clueless (and un-trained) people.

anyway i phoned back and the next guy didnt hesitate
 
just when I thought WA was great, got kicked out of gaming.. seems the problems just do not want to go away.. connection works 100% and then just dies for 30 secs and back up again... guess I have to stick to Afrihost for the rest of the weekend. sigh.. well at least i can use my WA account for downloading during sleeping hours, not worth much more than that.

Not the "ISP" it used to be, "reliable and fast" at premium pricing - waste of money if you ask me, have moved all accounts to Altech [Jhb based - :-(] - much better throughput, far lower pricing, far less shaping and reliable.

Did you come right with your slow internet over this weekend?
If you line is with us, we can gladly log a fault with Telkom on your behalf if you like?

Not a very helpful post...

Did you even read that he experience the same problems on other ISP accounts?

who.is.michael, I know you don't care what forumites think about you, but one thing I have learned is, you never know when you are going to meet someone in real life, via business or whatever occasion, and personally I right now think I wouldn't do business with you. You jump far too much around between who you use ect, that I don't see you as stable business. But thats just me.
 
I had full line speed on my 1mb line the entire weekend. Don't think that helps now though.
