dude they don't even answer support messages you think they gonna refund you?
Sorry to burst your bubble. This is the worst ISP on the face of the Earth, they probably will never actually even admit to being down..
I would not hold my breath. Can we claim a credit on the account for not having service during the outage?
I would not hold my breath.
The generic response:
"We thank you for taking the time to contact Webafrica and are sorry to hear of the issues you are having.
We do not log credits for outages as it is out of our control and not directly caused by us.
We have checked and do see a Vumatel outage in most parts of the Gauteng your area affecting your services.
Currently Vumatel technicians are looking into the fault.
They have not set a turn around time for this as yet but are pushing to get this resolved as soon as possible.
You can monitor the status via our Network Status page:........ blah blah blah"
Thats's a lie - Vumatel restored services and all ISP's were back within an hour of the outage. I have people on Afrihost and Cool Ideas in my complex and all were restored within 2 hours max.I would not hold my breath.

I know legally in instances my sister has withheld payment etc or made them credit when they had issues with the adsl line being down they a law firm though so they never really argued and just gave them credit but that was with Telkom. Know webafrica etc they will find some story etc. But legally you can if I recall even if their terms state you can’t, CPA overrules itI would not hold my breath.

What Vumatel outages? Ask them to send you the official notice from Vumatel. We didn’t get one. We’ve been up throughout.
According to their last (conveniently ambiguous) response (sent this morning long after services were restored), they state the outages were on the Vumatel, EcoTel and SADV networks (and if one looked at the Network Status reports that were issued on their website, they all occurred simultaneously). Yet they would try and have us believe that none of this was their fault and they do not accept responsibility for it.What Vumatel outages? Ask them to send you the official notice from Vumatel.
