I am busy with research to create an online platform for my business. I need a website built.
Not sure if there are templates available for what I want to do. Can anyone show me in the right direction of where to start?

I got one quote so far but it seems expensive. Ideally what I want is for a potential client to register on the site and be able to upload the required documents to his profile. The client also must be able to apply for a service.

I don't want to divulge too much info on here as to what service exactly I provide. More details will be given via PM.

If someone can assist it would be appreciated. Maybe there's someone here that can do exactly what I want.

Web development isn't cheap but it's never been cheaper than it is now because of the frameworks and backends that accelerate development of a custom app.

If you're working with a small budget then WordPress with a plugin is your best bet. This will likely be what a web agency quoting to do it for cheap will offer.

My newest client recently signed with me to build them a full web app after being buggered around with a cheap WP "developer" for 6 months. They decided to bite the bullet and do it properly. The boss's wasted time and what they spent on the cheap developer and his unnecessarily expensive WP hosting cost the company more than what I'm charging them.

When you're successful, I'd really recommend getting something custom built.

If you'd like me to give you my opinion on any quotes your receive, feel free to PM me. I hate seeing people being taken advantage of by developers looking to make a quick buck.

Nothing wrong with building in WP if you do it properly. 90% of the sites I fix up are WP sites where dev have cut corners and just slapped **** together which ends up costing big when it breaks. I agree though, custom is still best way to go.

If you still need help you can PM me , my old company we did something like this in wordpress.
But an actually web app would be better

More than 40% of the web now runs on WordPress. Gimme a shout if you still need help (I run a WordPress agency). Also, feel free to list your company on my business directory. Good luck!

Thanks for the responses thus far. I have purchased a WordPress theme and customized it to my liking. Can anyone give me any tips on how to get the actual website on google and how to set up ads etc?

The site is live atm. But not doing any business as yet.

You can install something like Site Kit (by Google) and integrate with Google Analytics & Google Search console. Then run an SEO plugin like Yoast or Rankmath to start optimising your content.

You need to submit it to Search Console - https://search.google.com/search-console/about

Then as per the above use a plugin to improve your SEO
