Maybe look at using a portal system like Joomla, there are TONS of free templates already made out there.

Yeah... the graphics applications are pretty varied. Photoshop is great for design but some folks do prefer Fireworks.
But like people said, it's tough Just software doesn't make it easy

I'm used to Jasc PSP, I use version 7 - because newer isn't always better!
If PSP was too difficult, don't even attempt to use Photoshop.
PSP is much easier than PS, and it's not always about the software, it's about what you can do in a package!

i just want to make 5-6 banners bwana. It's a bit pointless buying it for that amount of work.

oh...okay...It's just that i found more tutorial stuff on photoshop i just assumed it's easier.
I'm just not good with these programs.

GIMP, PSP and PS are all fairly difficult tools to master and they take time

So it looks like photoshop so far is the all round program to do things? Cause everone knows it sucks to move from one program to another just to get something done. photshop seems abit tricky for me sometimes, i need something that i can catch on to quickly just for starters, then move on to the bigger programs. I made a signature in photshop wich looks really cool. but i used a tutorial to do the whole thing and forgot everything i did to get it done.

Yip these guys helped me alot with their expert advice. I'm really not an IT/computer guy so i could not have done it without them.
I used joomla 1.5 and didn't use any tutorials for joomla. The tutorials i studied were the basic html ones on that w3school website. Best to do the basics first before jumping into joomla.
Just want to give a big thank you to AntiThesis for designing my new banners. They look amazing
