Also, what about not being able to draw cash from ATMs when there is no power in several adjacent areas...
Don't know if they have UPSes - specifically ATMs not attached to a bank branch, but how long can a UPS really last...Great thanks.
Now I am concerned, actually.
Do they have UPSs?
What happens if the cash is only half dispensed?
Not with ABSA's ATMs you cannot - unless someone changed something, don't know about the ATMs of other banks. If the ATM's go off when they do power on again I wonder if you press the right key presses if you can get it in debug mode![]()
They need to fix the graphic image on the website...We have also had a group of people register and host www.eishkom.com on our servers

aarggh...this happened to me - so YES, the ATM just switch off...!
I was drawing money, whilst in the middle of the transaction, the power went down - I had to cancel the current card which the ATM took, get the bank to cancel the transaction - (after a long fight to convince them that I did not actually recieve the money).
I then had to go back to the bank to get the new card - thanks Eishkom..!![]()

This is why ABSA ATMs only issue the card after the cash has been removed from the cash presenter slot.Nearly happened with my sis-in-law... she was withdrawing the money, and just as the money started to come out, the power went.
She was glad she already had her card, and was able to remove the money
Joked with her and said that I hope the transaction didn't went through![]()
