Is this a male plant? Only ever used feminized seeds before, so just want to make 100% sure Found some seeds in some [obviously sub-par] greenhouse bud from 420m so I thought I'd try germinate and whadduya know, they all germinated. Not sure what kind of yield, if any, I can expect at this time of year but hey, "free" seeds for a strain I wasn't really interested in growing. So even just a few grams will be fine.

Thanks. This one grew up fastest but there's still a few more. I think the rest have those tentacle thingies, though, so probably females but still a bit too early to tell.

Feels weird now having to go purge this plant for being a male. Wasn't his fault.

IMaybe a seed run or isolate it and collect pollen?

Hey guys. First time grower. A hermie unfortunately snuck through, but instead of thrashing the whole crop i decided to let them finish to learn something atleast. From what ive read they are now ready for harvesting. Any advice would be greatly apreaciated.

How do you know it has hermied? Are there balls?

Hard to tell just looking at it, but to my eye it looks like she needs a bit longer. The brown hairs generally will shrivel up but the only real way to tell is to check the trichomes with a loop (magnifying glass)

Thanks for the reply. Its unfortunately definitely seaded. Checked the swollen part of the calux on most of them and seaded. Think it was stress from the enviornment that developed male organs.

Yes was on my list but with this booody lockdown i dont have a sufficient magnifying glass. Would the still that are brown curl in more when its ready? Thanks again

I see a female plant not a hermie. The seeds are normal in a female, it simply means some of your flowers were pollinated by an unknown male. Your flowers are also not ready I would leave that plant for another month until your nugs are hard. Looks a lot like some of my Swazi plants.

Thanks for the reply. Ive found the hermy and unfortunately they are seeded good. But no worries still going to finish the grow. Now that you mention it i wasnt sure what strain it was but through pics itncould very well be swazi rooi baard. And would also make more sense with the 10 week flowering. Apreciate the advice thanks guys

So I entered the race a bit late this year also and am a new grower. I am growing outdoor for now. I started in Jan with 2 fem seeds I bought. One died about 6 weeks later (Banana Kush), and the other just never really grew (Black Domina). I left the latter, and it is flowering now, but it is only about 15cm tall. So not giving it much attention.

Had another 2 I planted in Feb (bag seed) and one I just realized last night is male. The other looks to be female, but I will need a few more days to be sure. Both grew really well. Have been giving them mollasses, epsom salts and some liquid kelp. Seems to be doing the last one good.

Also had another plant from a friend, that was already flowering. Sadly the mould took over from all the rain, so hacked it down this morning and tried to save what I could. Busy drying now, so will see what survives and hopefully doesn't go mouldy.

Been interesting reading through this whole thread. I hope my last plant for the season turns into something, but I have really taken this all as a learning curve.

Thinking of buying an LED to get some indoor grows going, especially now in winter. Have a design for a tent already drawn up, just need to part with the cash for the LED. Anyone else considering that?

In that pic the plants were about 2 months. I broke my phone yesterday so I can't post updates, but the big one is full of buds now and I'm going harvest in about a week.
The smaller one I ended up throwing away, it was full of seed and also got attacked with powdery mildew, thrips and some mold (same as yours). The big one also took damage but because it wasn't in flower I could treat it more aggressively.
Growing isn't as easy as most think, many challenges to overcome. But I think you are doing okay so far, keep it up

PS. If you want big autos, look at the time to harvest from seed that is listed for that seed. If it's say, 8 weeks, then it will be smaller. If it's 12 weeks, then you know it will be bigger. My White Widows were 11 to 12 weeks. Also I went the hydro route; faster growth compared to soil.

Your immediate priority should be the spider mites that are eating your plant alive. An organic insecticide like Margaret Roberts will work, but with that infestation I'd use Ludwig's or Pyrol
