Weed growers thread

Those LED's are absolute garbage. If you want decent LED you can go and build your own lights with the following:

https://www.digikey.com/catalog/en/partgroup/influx-linear/59956

You can build it to the desired wattage and it true wattage, not that 1200W Philzon which runs at 200 actual watts.

You then build a cheapo frame.

You then power it with your desired mean well drivers, you can get dimming functionality to run the strips at a lower voltage for more efficiency.

I don't grow weed, but this is my setup, im still busy doing it properly need ducting and need to get different rope ratchets. What you see in there are hong kong legit LM 561C S6 Top Bin diodes. Each board has 800 3500K diodes. I went that route because i wanted a mix of blue and red spectrum. I have 5 of these boards with a total of 4000 diodes. Two boards run off a meanwell 600H-48Bx2 and then 1 board off a 320H-48B.

I don't have a infrared heat gun yet so cant measure its temps, it gets warm that is why my grow room has active intake (pushing and pulling the air out). That is done by two AC-Infinity T6 Exhaust fans.

The light does not look bright in the picture, but trust me after you look at it for a few seconds you see dots everywhere.

Then if you want to put your plants to sleep faster you can include this in your grow area.

It's for the emerson effect.

Alternatively instead of strips you can use COBS (chip on board) modules, you'll need heatsinks, but these can be run at 100W's each depending on the modules.

Awesome looking setup man!

That's exactly the light setup I am after.

Yeah, i still need to get a c02 reg for supplementation, add the emerson lights, get a humidifier and dehumidifier.

This is what my frame looked like when i built it, but it was scary heavy and i thought it would pull down my tent so i decided to rather hang them on their own.

I planted a few on the plot a couple of months ago but it never came up. I still have a few, no idea what they are got it from a friend. Will start with those to dial in the Hydroponics and then get a really nice strain. I like the Uppers, not the sleepy crap. So will need to look into that strain.
Yo dude how much u selling for

Any advice or insight on a DIY greenhouse? Anyone done one?

The cheapest way is to use those white electrical conduit pipes to create a half circle greenhouse. There are several plastic suppliers with the correct plastic. Best value is the Israeli one which lasts five years plus.

Yeah been thinking of that, although I am not the greatest DIY guy but it can't be too hard.

I built a loose standing greenhouse with battens and screws, 2m tall, 3mx1.5m, which should cost ~R1500.

It's a simple rectangular structure with 45 degree corner supports, covered with greenhouse plastic from Agrimark, hinged end panels.

Angle the top or create a curve with PVC.

I covered the end panels in plastic and then shade cloth. So cutouts in the plastic provides ventilation but insects are kept out.

Already seeing nutrient deficiencies in that plant, chlorosis, crispy curling leaves, spindly little stem.. poor guy give it some love.

Just a question for any growers, I bought a selection of fem and auto seeds, prior to them arriving I germinated a whole lot of good bag seed just to get back into the swing of things, all went well, perhaps too well as I have like 8 or 9 plants now. I don't mind the extra work, but here is my question:

All the seeds I bought are fem's, do I take the chance of having a potential male around them? Should I scrap the bag seed plants and just focus on the bought genetics. I don't know. Would be a shame to can these babies.

It's an outdoor / greenhouse grow btw.
