Weed growers thread

I'm also unsure how much weed you need.. Since I'm not a user 1 plant per year seems like overkill already. I don't have a better photo now, but here's the inside of my green house. You could put this together in a day for R1500 it you haven't avoided hard labour all your life :)

And don't ask me about the rotation...Someone should fix the app.View attachment 567063

1 plant per year? haha! I'd say I probably smoke at least 10 plants a year, maybe more :D

Thanks for that pic! That really gets my mind going, I could do that. I am sitting here stiff as all hell because all I have done this week is manual labour :D :D

Can anyone help me with some seeds I'm in joburg. Not sure if I trust these online seeds stores.

I can burn up between 500g and 1kg of weed in a year. On average, my plants tend to be about 100-150g +- each. I try keep them at around that weight for management purposes. A 150g yielding plant (cured) is a big plant..

How much grams would smoke per day or do you go all out on weekends? Did you notice any changes in your behavior since smoking weed?

Ive been smoking for 17 years now, daily. I can go from very little to quite a bit per day, depending on what Im doing, my mood, how much time I spend in front of the PC, how active I am. On average, I will probably stick to .5g per day, but can easily be 2g if I binge. I dont smoke at work or before work, I save it till I get home. Weekends, wake and bake usually, then a walk on the mountain with my dogs. Lovely routine :)

I tend to go through cycles of using more or less, currently on a smoking less cycle as I come to the end of my previous harvest.

My behavior is generally pretty standard, and so is my mood.. but I deal with a high stress job, requires travel and ultimately leads me to 'work' while im not working. I find it generally difficult to switch off, brain is very active, all the time. I tend to over plan and over think which sort of comes with my project management type position so have gotten used to being able to slow myself down to enjoy the more simple things and not stew in my own thoughts all the time.

That said, my viewpoint is probably biased, you should ask my wife. She often tells me to go have a smoke because I cant shut off or shut down. I tend to react to bad news and things I cannot change which ultimately leads me to stressing. Ive developed an autoimmune disorder because of this stress called alopecia ariata.. hair loss in strange ways. I find smoking keeps this at bay, when i stop and in times of stress, it comes back with vengeance.

That said, its never demotivated me from doing anything, or stopped me from doing anything. never hindered my work ability or performance and I use it responsibly. I dont drink alcohol at all, and try stay away from carbs and sugar.

I think if i were to change my life, career, surroundings, i could likely stop for a while, but in my current environment, Im a creature of habit so find it hard to change my routine. But Cannabis is more than just something I smoke..

I make oil for sick people who need it, and the enjoyment I get through helping people overcome things like Psoriasis and general pain along with a ton of other ailments, confirms Ive made the right choices in my life, with or without my current habits. I hide nothing from anybody, even my bosses and was open with my family from the age of 18 as to where my interests lie. Took them 15 years to come around to the idea, and now my mom makes herself oil and grows her own crops. How times have changed.

I'm interested in your Psoriasis treatment due to my brother suffering from it..

I'm interested in your Psoriasis treatment due to my brother suffering from it..

Ive treated a few people, from a 17 year old, to a 30+ varsity lecturer and all have reported amazing results. The varsity lecturer was suicidal at one point, with bad psoriasis. He was ordering stuff from China and taking these injections which would leave him feeling super ****. The CBD oil he was ordering was obviously ****, mass produced, low level hemp based CBD which imo is useless.

He came to me and within 8 weeks of using my oil daily (he takes a very small amount of pure oil, like the tip of a toothpick) at night, and sometimes in the morning, his psoriasis was virtually gone. No more redness, itchyness, and his problem patches cleared up nicely. Hes now doing trail runs, motorcross stuff... and wrote me a long message thanking me for giving him his life back.. That to me made it all worthwhile.

I had a very conservative muslim mother and daughter approach me, after doing the leg work approaching their elders to ask permission to try some oil, as nothing else was working. Girl was going through her matric, couldnt study, was in too much pain, had attempted to take her life twice already and was just out of the clinic. I only supplied them with 1ml of pure, but apparently it changed her life, and her mother was heaping praise on me before they dropped contact, so not sure what happened after that. I think they found their own supply somewhere and I think the were very worried about the muslim community finding out, sadly.

Most of the oil Ive supplied, has been for pain/sleep/migrains with cancer following in second and psoriasis and other more serious issues after that.

Psoriasis must be treated internally, so topical stuff doesnt really help.

Thanks for the advice. I have a indoor setup already so I can easily turn one of them into a veg tent, when I used to grow indoor I tried to get a perpetual grow going but struggled. It's actually not that easy, but if I am only keeping a few mothers then it should be dead easy.

So if I got you right, I should keep a few fems in veg in doors all year round, take cuttings, and place cuttings in greenhouse once they ready and just keep that process going?

Precisely, cuttings rooted indoors may need to be 'introduced' to the sun, by giving them a few hours light before bringing them back in.Basically people should keep a mother plant all year round in veg and take cuttings in December, by March after 6 weeks of veg growth flowering will trigger.

Also there is a method whereby you can take cuttings from say 3 plants and forcing it to grow onto your mother plant, so at them end you have a mother plant that is actually 4 strains, and then you decide what strain you want to grow out by cloning specific branches.

I'm obviously missing something, how many grows do you expect per year in your greenhouse, it seems like you are going to keep your mother plant in veg for almost a year waiting for the next season?

Yes that is the point, because why spend more money on seeds? Also I see trading clones becoming a thing, so you could trade your cuttings for other sick varieties,so everyone wins :D

Could you recommend one or two

Seedbank or strains?

I've got some dutch passion genetics on the way.

Auto Critical Punch - high thc - energetic head high,trippy @ 20%/0% thc/cbd ratio

Auto White Widow - hybrid 50/50 split thc to cbd, good mix for head and body buzz. @ 10%/10% thc/cbd ratio

Auto Colarado cookies - high cbd, pure body buzz, great for pain and sleeplessness.@ 0% /12% thc/cbd ratio

 So much to learn. Got a friend prepping some cuttings for me. Super interesting.

You need to consider how many you lose to being male or for other reasons as well. I expect 1 harvest per 5 seedlings min.

Used to grow for someone suffering from a terminal genetic illness. Was never enough. Medical users often need lots and as often cannot grow for themselves.

I expect laws to be passed in the next 2-3 years that limit the amount of plants you can grow per household / adult so in the meantime grow as much as you can. With no longer needing to hide it many more parts of my garden can now be used - especially as big parts are pretty bare after the drought here in CT.

Its never wasted. Properly cured and stored in glass containers in darkness it will stay good for a few years. Alcohol extractions will probably last for many many years. Oils infusion / hash at least a few years.

Google grafting.

:D

This hobby goes from being fun to being very addictive. In the beginning I couldn't wait to chop the plants and smoke, but now I get a little sad.
