Weight Loss Challenge

GAWD I lolled!

Anyways, whats this challenge? Like USN?

Hiya - no not USN - we actually started taking Herbalife products (but this wasn't necessary for the challenge though - we're just too lazy to prepare the low calorie meals - so we decided to buy the shakes, and with that we got our results :)

Awesome!

I also lost a bit of weight last year but fell from the bandwagon over the past couple of months ... need to get back on again but I'm struggling to get over the December mentality. Hopefully by the end of the month everything will be back to normal for me (healthy eating wise I mean :))

Keep up the good work though!

I've been trying to lose weight for the last 14 years... been quite steady at the 85-87 kg mark... but similarly, at a height of 1.7m, this puts me weigh(see what I did there :)) over my goal weight.

My main problem with most of these diet plans that I encounter online, is that the meals are quite complicated and require a great deal of prep. (especially for a bachelor who works long hours like me) Luckily I recently found a service in Gauteng, where they will deliver a kilojoule restricted diet directly to you. This includes breakfast, morning snack, lunch, dinner, and evening snack. Average weight loss on this plan is advertised at 1Kg per week (with little to no exercise). The link is www.servdfresh.co.za. (Check out the menu - it sounds really yummy)

I will be starting on the programme from Monday onwards... so I will post my progress.

Doesn't sound right: Men High Activity - 1900 Calories - I would have that quite a bit higher

Great job dude! Keep it up.

SO has gone from 118 to 97. His goal weight is 90. No exercise. Just counting calories. Think we all eat a cr@pload more than we actually need to.

most peoples problems are starving their bodies and making bad decisions, if you eat right you will be amazed at how much you can actually eat

I'm going for the Low activity 1500 calorie option... At the moment I am not doing any exercise at all.. I suppose that if I were exercising I could increase the calorie intake to a point. Perhaps supplementing their diet with a protein shake or 2.

That is so very true! Eating too little will actually signal your body that you're busy starving, meaning it will store more than usual, so if you can just make sure you get the right amount of calories, you can definitely eat lots and still lose weight!

I'lll piggyback on this thread instead of creating a new one.

For the record, I'm 1.9m tall.

At the beginning of this year I weighed 102kg and it was my goal to get my weight down to 95kg (even better if I could hit 90kg), Now, you have to understand I'm #*&$#ing lazy and the only way I was going to achieve this is to change my diet.

I stopped consuming sugar entirely and to make sure I still get enough sugar to replace it with fructose.

So I stopped eating sweets, chocolates, cake, everything containing sucrose and replace it with fruits. So now I eat 3 fruits every day (ok, not weekends, on weekends I replace it with barley :D). Remember I'm a drinker and I eat meat every single day. I've changed nothing else, at all

This weekend I climbed onto the scale for the first time in months after my MIL commented that I've lost weight and I've reached my target weight :)

I've been noticing for a few months now that my jeans are a little on the loose side,so I guess I'll have to get a change of wardrobe soon.

So this is just a heads up for those looking to shed some excess fat.

Congrats YY, it's always a good feeling to go buy new clothes because your current ones looks like bags on you. :D Keep it up, cutting out sugars works for most people.
