For real, definitely.
From what I've read, it's to be expected, just hit me today though.
Sorry if this is a dumb question but is it safe to go in and out of LCHF mode? Is there a minimum time where one should stay in or out?
10 to 14 days is what you usually need to adjust your body to burn fat rather than sugar. From that point on the opinions differ. I personally take one day every week to re-feed on carbs. I experienced much better fat loss, and managed to put on muscle that way.
The other issue that is big for me is that it seems you need carbohydrate to form mucus which is needed for the lining of your gut. Some people develop food sensitives avoiding carbohydrate for months because they destroy their gut lining.
What's bugging me is some people seem to be prone to increased ldl cholesterol when increasing saturated fats and I think I might be one of them. I’ve read when this happens the chances of having oxidised ldl then also goes up.
I see, so something like 5 days low-carb and then 5 days normal eating would be silly.
Regarding this mucus problem, is this from complete carb avoidance? You can still have some carbs as part of LCHF right, is the amount allowed not enough for the mucous lining? Is it even possible to avoid carbs 100% completely?
Holy **** that stuff is expensive!
A high carb diet will increase your triglycerides and make your ldl cholesterol small & dense. This is the ldl that is truly damaging.
Saturated fat may increase your ldl slightly, but it makes the ldl larger and fluffy. This ldl causes no damage. Sat fat will also increases your hdl at the same time.

jokes is one thing but being mean is another thing altogether. I suppose this is the trend on this forum lately.
