Weight Loss Thread 2014

Do you just buy them at any pharmacy? What do I ask for?

Just a possible correction:I think the vials may be 20ml each.
You simply walk in and ask them to give you the components they make their injections up from.
Get the vial(s) and some 5ml injections and needles.

Last time I got them from M-Kem (Bellville), this is what the bottle looks like (not the label)
p-50635-49166.jpg

How to inject:
Get about 2.5ml from each of the vials.
Inject into your bum, but always in the outer upper quarter of your bum (so you don't hit a vein)
Keep the vials in the fridge

Before you inject yourself, make sure you the solution to get to room temperature first, otherwise it burns a lot.
Inject slowly, otherwise it burns a lot.

Hi folks.

Been reading that the flax bread recipe in the Real Meal Book does not rise as much. Searched around and found this nice recipe - almost the same...but some added elements and, notably, much more baking powder.

Ingredients

2 cups flax seed, ground
5 egg whites
2 whole eggs, large
5 Tbsp flax oil, coconut oil, or olive oil
1 Tbsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
3 stevia packets
1 Tbsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp Ground cinnamon (optional)

Directions

1 Preheat oven to 350. Mix all dry ingredients.
2 Mix all wet ingredients, and whisk into the dry ingredients. Pour into a bread pan, and bake for 30-40 mins.
3 Some other awesome additions are pumpkin, fresh banana or protein powder flavor of choice.
4 Nutrition info per serving (1 serving/1 slice)

145 cal, 11 g fat, less than 1 g carbs, 6.5g protein

I will try this one tomorrow and let you all know. I will be leaving out the stevia though and adding in 2 servings of whey protein (vanilla).

Shot dot. I figured that increasing the baking powder would help.

/snip.

that's the solution to the one in the book. I think the tsp is a misprint in the book and it should be tblsp. I used the book recipe but followed the video that copa linked to and I used a tablespoon of baking powder and mine came out great

 And here you were claiming you were Nigella.

I never made any such claim, I'm more of a Gordon Ramsey

Shouting at your food :)

The thread is getting a bit too intense for me. We started off with a competition, passed through the LCHF, started talking about where to inject yourself and now swopping recipes. It is starting to sound like a Marie Claire magazine  :D

The question is why you know what goes on in a Marie Claire

There's a naked edition? :erm:

With Catherine from 5FM in it ;) One of few women that looks good with tattoos.

(and remember, if you are male and buy it, you will be in trouble with your wife. If your wife buys it, your safe).

Aaah that explains it! Just made the bread and it did'nt rise as much as expected, also the stevia has a horrible aftertaste think i'll try normal sweetener with the next one.
