Weight Loss Thread 2014

Isn't that more like ground almonds or almond meal?

No idea, I just asked google, as I said.

I suppose ultimately, are you able to cook with the result?

What do you guys make of this:

Almond flour is a little darling of grain free, Paleo/Primal, and low carb baking. It easily rivals conventional flour in its ability to produce tender and fluffy baked goods. Unfortunately, almond flour has numerous detrimental health consequences. It is important to understand these aspects of almond flour, so you can make the decision to avoid almond flour or choose to use almond flour with judicious moderation.

1. Almond flour skews perception about quantity

2. Almond flour is very high in inflammatory PUFAS

3. The fats in almond flour aren’t heat stable

4. Almond flour is high in enzyme inhibitors

5. Coconut flour is healthier than almond flour

Yeah I eat them. Hardly a miracle, just full of omega 3s. And I like the way they swell up in a glass of water. Looks like caviar haha. Note: although they may be high in omega 3s, they are plants and therefore contain ALA. Humans are not that great at converting ALA to EPA & DHA, and you would see better results getting your omega 3s from fish oil.

Do they actually taste nice? How do you eat them?
I have hemp seeds but they are so uncomfortable to eat...

this coming Saturday will be my 2 month mark, I'm hoping for some good measurements and weight. I have a feeling though that the weight off is quite a good amount though, kinda hard not to see it missing, lol :D
