Apparently. I just googled 'how to make almond flour'.
Google knows more than this thread ever will.![]()
Isn't that more like ground almonds or almond meal?
Almond flour is a little darling of grain free, Paleo/Primal, and low carb baking. It easily rivals conventional flour in its ability to produce tender and fluffy baked goods. Unfortunately, almond flour has numerous detrimental health consequences. It is important to understand these aspects of almond flour, so you can make the decision to avoid almond flour or choose to use almond flour with judicious moderation.
1. Almond flour skews perception about quantity
2. Almond flour is very high in inflammatory PUFAS
3. The fats in almond flour aren’t heat stable
4. Almond flour is high in enzyme inhibitors
5. Coconut flour is healthier than almond flour

Has anyone tried Chia seeds before? They seem to be some or other miracle food... I tried googling it but quit when I found a scary picture :erm:
Happy to report that after 1 week of LCHF (and additionally cutting out all sugar and coffee), I have lost 5 kilograms.
congrats!

Yeah I eat them. Hardly a miracle, just full of omega 3s. And I like the way they swell up in a glass of water. Looks like caviar haha. Note: although they may be high in omega 3s, they are plants and therefore contain ALA. Humans are not that great at converting ALA to EPA & DHA, and you would see better results getting your omega 3s from fish oil.
Feels pretty good, I've discovered.![]()
