Weight Loss Thread 2014

I made that carb free bread; not bad. Doesn't stand up to real bread, but it will do.

Is there any point in following lchf diet if the person is addicted to diet fizzy drinks? Will it be completely futile?

If they contain sugar, yes. If sugar free then the diet will still work (insofar as the ketosis will be maintained).

As a former diet fizzy drink addict (about a litre a day), and now LCHF enthusiast, I encountered this exact problem.

At first I endeavoured to keep drinking diet fizzy drinks, but I stopped after about a week. Because of the lack of any sugar in the rest of my diet, artificially sweetened drinks essentially became far too sweet for me to continue drinking, and so I stopped. Haven't looked back since!

As copacetic says, there's no proof that there are any issues with the contents themselves and LCHF though.

Going to be giving LCHF eating style a go, I am a little hesitant, probably due to the popular notion that there is no way you can lose weight eating such awesome foods :p
