Weight Loss Thread 2014

What would the correct amount of fat be?

it's about finding what works for you, I sometimes have up to 75% fat in a meal, e.g. breakfast where I supplement bacon and eggs with a full fat coffee

basic guideline is that if you feel hungry soon after a meal then you're not getting enough

Ok, I just had a rump steak with A lOT of fat on, broccoli / cauliflower / mushrooms which is douced in a sauce made of cream and cheese. I feel sick. I feel oily. Are you guys SURE this will work :(

Two thousand, five hundred and thirty seven posts read and I have made it through this entire thread. Just did it in 24hrs (I did not get much done at work today).

I started calorie restricting on the 4th of January this year and lost 11kg's up to the 11th of March when I had had enough of being hungry all day and every day. Switched to LCHF after reading and watching tons of info from Tim Noakes and Gary Taubes. I have lost a further 11kg's on LCHF up to the middle of April when I fell off the wagon due to a bachelor party and then wedding. Put on 4 kg's and this week is my first week back on LCHF and I intend sticking to it forever as I would like to lose another 10-15kg's.

Congrats to you all on your progress - it has been a fascinating journey reading the posts since page 1 and seeing your weight drop off you!
