Weight Loss Thread 2014

Guys. How about using ghee (clarified butter) for frying Etc instead of sunflower oil and coconut oil?

Ghee, butter, coconut oil, olive oil, lard

Steer well clear of sunflower or other refined oils

First day of banting for me today, got the Real Meal Revolution book over the weekend!

Panic stations officially hit, gained 11kgs, been back on my eating plan in a big way since last Monday. Perhaps time to start frequenting this thread again

How tall are you?

1.66 hence hobbit references, starting up weight lifting with the gf and moving away from refined carbs(well actually avoiding most carbs alrogether), was eating a LOT of popcorn and rice :D

"skinny fat" Eat more protein + lift more weights :D
I went from skinny fat to fat, fat.

I realised when my "fat pants" wouldn't fit anymore - I was doing so well.

Hopefully with an SO involved she'll help keep motivation levels up

I've been absolutely RAVENOUS the last week or three.

I think this related to a period where I did not eat close to enough and my body freaked out and hence demanded more.

Intake has been on track (LCHF) aside from one or two occasions, but I've been taking in such an excess of calories, I think I have picked up a KG or two.

Had a horrible couple of weeks now, from being sick and unable to train to having a car accident and not having transportation to go to training
The fact that I was a bit depressed that my car was written off does not help with the depro-eating thing...sigh...
Last thing I need now is to step on a scale :wtf:

Heading to Wilderness on Friday for a week's timeshare. Unlikely that I will be able to stay on LCHF that week as it is such a fantastic place that it would be a bit of a sin to not enjoy myself.

Intend getting straight back onto the wagon when I return. At least the last 2 weeks of well-behaved eating has resulted in me being back to my previous low 6 weeks ago before all of the April / May holidays started.
