My turn to go and weigh this afternoon. My group leader arrives early, so I just pop in, weigh and off I go. I am doing just fine; I want to become a lifelong member now, then I only need to go to class once a month.

It is very educational! For example, oreos are 4 points each, whereas a Baker's Gingernut biscuit is only 0.5 points. So you suddenly realise that you're not going to eat oreos except on very special occasionsWhereas before, you would have had them without realising how bad they were.
My leader is also useless... actually, not so much useless as mean. So I'm looking to change groups. I'd settle for a useless leader![]()
Any idea why an oreo would be equivalent to 8 Baker's Gingernuts in terms of points? In terms of calories a ginger nut varies between 36~55 while an oreo is 53.3. What would be the point allocation for a slice of brown bread which is around 80 calories?

Does anyone have a complete set of the WW booklets? I'm looking for the titles of all 12 booklets, and I can't find anything on the net...
If you complete a 12 week course, you will have the complete set of booklets. Yes, I have mine. Did you join WW CathJ? I doubt whether you will find anything on the net......
Next time you go to the meeting, just look at all the books while you there, then you will know if you want them or not.
Ooooo, and a lower fat cake/muffin recipe:
1x box/packet of cake mix
(I used snowflake muffin mix for like R8)
1x can of diet fizzy drink (coke light, sprite zero, coke zero etc)
Mix the two together in an electric mixer til smooth, spoon into cupcake trays (easier with paper cups) and then cook on 180 for 15 min.
They rise and look beautiful, and only are about 2 and 1/2 points per muffin if you make 12.
They do tend to be a bit more sticky, but if you are craving cake, its totally worth it.
Mix coke with the chocolate mixes and sprite with the vanilla ones, unless you not to concerned about a brownish tinged vanilla muffin.
Also, those people not concerned with calories can add any can of fizzy drink, I'm sure it will work just as well. Easiest cakes I have ever made!!!
