I also prefer to be full metric. 5ft 2" = ~157cm. My 168cm = 5ft 6".
My 85kg also puts my BMI in the same ~30 range as Saffers'.

In the same vein as the Ft/inches thing, I prefer working in Kilojoules (kJ) instead of calories. Probably because every box I check show the energy content in kJs.
Interesting little number: 32,284 KiloJoules is 1kG of fat. (Or 7716 Calories).
To lose 5kg in 8 weeks means you need to get rid of about 2882 kJ a day.
To lose 10kg in 8 weeks means you need to get rid of about 5765 kJ a day.
Can't recall the exact number, but even if I'm inactive, my body consumes about 9000 Kilojoules a day. If I can stick to that, and just exercise a bit, I should be able to drop some kgs as well.
Sugar is about 20 calories per teaspoon, that's 84kJ. So if you drink coffee/tea with sugar, those two sugars many people drink already accounts for 168kJ per cup!
200 Cups of coffee = 1kG of fat. That's 3 1/2 cups a day every day for 8 weeks.
Cutting out your coffee sugar alone can drop 1kg in 8 weeks!
