Weird issue with Samsung 40" and HD-PVR

Hi guys

So i bought a Samsung 40" Full HD LCD today from Game. I have have connected it to the decoder using a HDMI cable. Now everytime i change the tv's input, from say DVI/PC or whatever to HDMI the decoder crashes and reboots, so there's obviously some feedback from the tv to the decoder. I have tried the same cable on my other 42" Sinotec and no problems.

Any ideas on why it would cause the decoder to crash when i change the input on the Samsung?

I'm taking a guess, maybe its to do with the remote control option that's sent from the HDMI signal. I forget what's the name for it, but its when you use 1 remote for both devices ? Sony and samsung have it.
