Well done ANC!!

I'm against it because its wrong...

You guys are claiming all sorts of rights, and this and that which are all based on incorrected interpretations, and downright lies at times as well.

It is our right to chosse the government under which we want to be ruled, and given the context of SA, is impossible, (we are truly grateful to have the DA in power provincially, however it remains just that, provincial, and will unfortunately in my view, never win National...) The current political landscape of SA and its democracy is fundamentally flawed in practice due to many reasons which I am more than happy to go into later. In theory it works, however, say what you will, the Cape will always feel exploited. It is increasingly centralised in nature.

How is it impossible?... you guys are given JUST as much right as anyone else to vote your chosen political party into power in the national government.

How is the current democratic system in this country fundamentally flawed, I am now asking for your reasons as to why you think so.

And why should the Cape feel exploited? Correct me if I'm wrong but CapeTown is the legislative capital of South Africa?

How is it impossible? The people voted for the party that they wanted to rule the country, thats how democracy works. So I want the chinese to rule South Africa, should I form a new party and slam everyone else because its improbable for the party I want to rule to get into office?
So u want DA to run the 'new' country?
If this ever went to the polls.I.e voting for 'independence',it would not get 51%.No way.Not even close.Just because WC is slightly different from the rest of the country doesnt mean that it should stand alone.ALL our provinces are different from each other.Should they all be independant?Look at the US,they have a hellva lot of states and alot of them are completly different from each but they are still part of america because its americans living there. If the DA had not won the cape then there would be no talk of independance...

Fsck the SABC. I won't pay a TV license. If you have paid before, the only thing you have now accomplished is to let them know that you own a TV and they should follow up non-payments. Fsck that. I won't pay while some bastard is watching for free somewhere in Gugulethu on my stolen TV

Everything this government has ran either has collapsed or is collapsing. SABC, Robben Island, SAA are just to name a few who have made in the news of late.

Dont ask why, but rather why not get out of this union called the RSA. The Cape is on her way...
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!
Toxic: why are you against Cape secession?
 You are being serious? Just one question. How would The Cape sustain itself economically? Export pictures of that flat rock in Cape Town? Get real, 80% of SA's GDP is generated in Gauteng. The Cape wouldn't last one year on it's own. Bunch of hippies.

SABC R40m in the red
Cape Town - TV producers are to hold an urgent meeting on Monday to decide what to do regarding the SABC's outstanding payments of millions of rands, which is threatening to derail the production of several TV programmes. ( quote)

It is on the brink of collapse and I don't know how the SABC was permitted to reach this desperate point." (quote)

Round of applause anyone?

If there's one thing the ANC can do well, is to **** everything up. And that's not even hard to do!

Even though I live in Gauteng, I still think it sucks. Sure, it inherited wealth from the previous government, but it still doesn't mean that it is being run properly. The WC (water closet :D) is interesting, at least. The "wealthier" Gauteng is a bit staid and boring. It will never change. Eish, too many squatters that blindly support the ruling party.

In case you actually believe the rubbish you spew without any reference to fact .. Gauteng only contribute 33% of the countries GDP .. and the Cape is third (behind Kwazulu) with 14%

Ironically .. Our population is half the size .. hmm .. funny that

Perhaps actually having a clue before thumb sucking statistics may give you a tad more credibility.

if the cape becomes independent then what will you do with an entire nation that cannot drive properly? and how will things get done if it takes 9months to do so in the mother city?:D

It has more to do with poor management at the SABC than the work of the ANC. The SABC is trying to do too much with too little. One needs to learn to live within their budget rather than going in to debt hoping the money will come in later.

usual way everything bad is liked to gov, its kinda like the answer to apartheid, when u can't claim that u claim gov.

from the other thread.. why did akc do bad things?.. because its thw ay thngs happen in Sa, its the gov way .. ;) see what i mean.
