Vodacom in bundle rates are very competitive and often better than competition.
Yet everyone attaches the expensive tag to Vodacom.
Why?

Nobody is arguing the in bundle rates.
They are arguing the OOB and Vodacoms ethics when it comes to aplying this OOB

Well now, Vodacom, MTN and cell c are all the same.

Nope MTN OOB rates are variable according to recently purchased bundle size with R2 as the ceiling (and if there were no recent bundles)
CellC OOB rate has been flattened to 99c - it used to have an OOB rate of 99c if no bundle had been recently purchased and a 99c OOB for no recent bundle
Vodacom has a R2 OOB for pre-paid and R1 OOB for postpaid

More importantly CellC has very small bundles that get to 15c per meg in contrast to Vodacom and MTN keeping there smaller bundles at 50c a meg and cutting down the per meg IB rate only on considerably larger bundles

Vodacom 3G is fast no doubt but yeah you win some and lose some. I have some 3G with MTN here and no 3G or LTE at all on Vodacom here so yeah its a give and take.

Vodacom LTE is not a great and MTN LTE beats them hands down on every LTE tower I tested so far. 3G speed are not to bad on some Vodacom towers.

Here are some speedtest the 1 with the 8Mbps upload is LTE the rest is 3G

Watch out for the shark, that thing can bankrupt you at that speed ... ;)

+1, the OOB Shark loves to come out and play if you're on contract if you're on prepaid it is a safe playing field :)

That's a great speed, especially for 3G!

Especially if the tower is located in the middle of nowhere(example Carven park or camping site)

Would be nice getting this on 3G in an urban area ! Just a pity all towers are congested/oversubscribed with so many folks with their smart phone's.

Now that we know you had good internet on your Birthday weekend :p :D :p

How about a pic or two of the nature around you???
What animals were seen?
Or did you hide away with the internet connection only?
