What religious people need to learn, is that their religion does not automatically accord the slightest bit of respect, in itself, simply because it exists.

It is important that you realize that I am not remotely scared or awed by your god, not even the teeniest little bit, and I see no reason whatsoever to be polite just because that god is special to you. Now, don't get me wrong, I certainly don't go out of my way to be rude, but sometimes I'll make a statement like this, just so this message gets across.

As much as people are complaining about how dangerous Islam is at the moment, let's not forget the rather sordid and violent history of Christianity. I don't respect that aspect of religion. At all.

The issue is largely people who choose to fight god's battles, and cause untold misery in doing so.

Mohammed is not my god...so no I would not be offended. If someone is a Christian/Muslim or whatever, it does not necessarily mean everything that person does is according to his/her faith - that person is still human with faults.

Example: Benny Hinn calls himself a Christian, but the Bible speaks against profit gaining from the gospel.

Christians stealing

There are, sadly, many people like that in the world. Not all Christians are as nice as you think you are.

That's wonderful, but doesn't change the fact that over the past couple of centuries, Christians have used their religion as a vehicle for a lot of killing and violence. Do you want a noddy badge now because finally your religion is realizing it cannot get away with whatever it wants to any longer?
