Firstly, Getafix you are a crude and idiotic racist. As you are a lost cause, I will not bless your rantings with a response.

Syndyre, you adopt a very subtle approach, but I guess your underlying message is that there might be a valid reason for the perception.

Let me state the obvious, whites are not the main victims of crime. The Institute of Security Studies which is a non-profit regional research institute publishes the SA crime quarterly. Their 2005 third quarter publication shows a crime survey which indicates that blacks disproportionaly bear the brunt of crime and are more likely to be murdered than their pale counterparts. I hope that settles the issue.

I guess given the the demographics and the past history of country (Yes, I mention it and await the "don't blame it on aparthied" chorus from the liberal whites and rightwing zealots) more of the perpertrators will be black.

On a more realistic plane, my anguish and pain would be the same whether my daughter was raped by a black or white thug. The trauma is the same. The colour of the perpetrator does not lessen the pain.

N.B. Nobody commented when I mentioned that I was once robbed by two white guys, I wonder why?

I wasn't quite sure what your perception was and what you meant by it being a white problem initially but I understand now.

Is that the crime study based on government statistics? If so then I'm not sure how much faith I'd put in it but I do see your point.

Criminals are criminals to me, regardless of race I feel no sympathy for them, which is why I never commented on you being robbed by two whites guys because what does it matter, they're still criminals.

He had a sharp knife and his buddy had some things too. He also didn't turn up in court. I don't recommend court. Organised chaos of the worst kind, no ushers to help, just odd people hanging around.
 
I reackon the writings on the wall...............instead of handing in your firearms that are just given to the criminal element, i would sincerely think about burying them with ammo for later use, and report them as stolen or robbed. At least there will be a chance to defend yourself and form some sort of retaliation or resistance when the time comes.............., its the Govt's concerted effort to disarm the so called "boere mag" and through this render all whites defenceless against the onslaught, that has only just begun i am afraid..... @ milano very most of africa has been free of whites for over 40 years and they are still blaming all their problems on the whites. Singapore got it's independance around the same time as most of africa at the time it was a a little port with no natural resources look what they acheived in 40 years...

Yeah, but the question we need to ask is how and why, Simple they are not Africans living in Africa. There are interesting theories WHY? Africans just cannot make it. They call it the slavery syndrome. I believe its all in the makeup!

It is a good journalistic practice to confirm your information with 'at least' more than one source.
The BEELD reporter, by her own admission, did not do this and took the statement of an emotional relative as gospel to further herself and the rag she represents.

She should apologise for her shortcomings. The editor of that trash as well.

The very idea that crime is perpetuated against mostly whites and is some form of coercive tool to get whites to leave is heavily laden with some scary presumptions.

This viewpoint is a racist one. Sorry, but it is. By agreeing with the above you tap into an "us vs them" ideology, which is the basis of prejudice.
Most victims of crime in SA are NOT WHITE.

And they do not have the economic priviledge of leaving SA to "greener" pastures.

True, but since the murders that are reported in the press are mostly those of whites, a perception of white persecution is formed. Most black deaths go unnoticed unless they are particularly gruesome or the victim is a child.
 
This is not the only example of the anti-white messages that abound everyday.

There are anti-white messages from the government and general society on a regular basis.

The message is very clear that whites are not welcome in this country.
