What Antivirus do you use??

The guys saying the only thing that's needed is "common sense", i think you lack common sense.
Do you know how easy it is to get a virus?, it does not even have to be a "suspicious" website, you get a virus from normal websites, CD's, Memory sticks, emails, if you are on a network you get network viruses that can easily infiltrate your system.
Being cautions will help but most definitely does not cover every corner, and you are naive if you think it does.

To answer OP, I use MSE in conjunction with Comodo Internet security which has a world class firewall integrated, general rule of thumb is never install 2 Antivirus systems on the same machine, but these 2 work flawlessly with each other.

I have used Avast for 7 years and haven't had any issues or viruses...

People just need to show some common sense and they will be virus free

What antivirus do you specify free/pro/internet security and why?

I use Avast 9 Premier 2014 because of the UI

That bolded bit is intriguing - you're specifically using it because of the UI?
I use Windows Defender ...well, I don't "use" it, it just works quietly on its own without me doing anything :p

Avast! (primary), Panda Cloud (secondary) and Malwarebytes.

Has been working for me for the past several years.

I install Eset and Norton every two months to run a full scan and haven't picked up anything to date.

Avast's virus/malware warnings/alerts gives me a heart attack every time it picks something up.

Windows Defender

It has allowed my Computer to grow from just being a plain old zombie to a BotNet command center, which is better, no? Oh and made me get Uncapped internet since someone kept stealing my Data by hacking into my WiFi.

What people forget is that no single antivirus is infallible. You can't install an AV and expect your PC to remain clean. I use Norton Internet Security and run Malwarebytes Antimalware and Spybot Search and Destroy scans once a week. Combine something like that with a bit of common sense by not going to dodgy sites or downloading dodgy stuff, and you should be reasonably safe.

It's also the first principle of not being able to play every game that is released, so most of us stick with Windows.
But you running 3 AV's that can cause problems or am i misinterpreting

Would you just leave a guy who likes a densely-populated notification area alone, please? I have a densely-populated toolbar area on my IE6 and you don't see my being all judgmental.

I haven't had any issues so far, so I doubt there's any incompatibilities. I'll admit having three might be a bit overkill, but I definitely wouldn't feel safe running just one. I've sometimes had Malwarebytes catch things that Norton completely missed.

You know that you don't have to run all three simultaneously, right? Neither Malwarebytes or SpyBot run 24/7. They're run once a week, do a quick scan of the PC and then quit again. Norton Internet Security is there for my 24/7 security needs. Malwarebytes and Spybot are just for backup in case something slips by Norton.

Eset Smart Security and Malwarebytes anti-malware.
After rescuing and ressurrecting a large amount of PC's, I think that most people have realized that having an anti virus solution is important......Now I just need to get them to realize that maybe you need to update definitions more than once a year!!!!
"But i have an antivirus installed........", whenever i give them a breakdown of what was caught/trapped/cleaned/quarantined.....
