This is more a vent post than anything else ;)

In the last 3 weeks I've had the worst luck I've had for a while. Thankfully though - not relating to death, injury or ill health - and more financial or inconvenience.

I took my car in for a standard 60,000km service on Friday a few weeks ago. They phone in the afternoon and tell me my drive shaft is cracked and they need to order. I have no car that weekend - but get my car (after much fighting) the Monday (no cost - just inconvenience).

The next morning my tax has been calculated and I'm hit with a R29,000.00 bill.

The same afternoon my gate motor needs to be replaced - R6,000.00

That Saturday I get a brand new BB Torch from Vodacare. It was broken and needed replacement - which was done the Monday afternoon.

While getting the replacement phone, I request a SIM swop. I get home and they've given me someone elses SIM (Franscois). Worried that he may have mine and can make calls - I request to block that new card. The suspend my entire line so I can't phone out.

I sort that out the following day, leave early to give them Francious card and get a new replacement SIM. I take it home and it's listed as being 'active' and there's nothing they can do.

I take back that SIM and ask for money back as I'd rather go elsewhere after their two failure. I pop off the next day to another Vodacare shop and the minute I sit, the guys mumbles 'system offline'. I walk next door and get it from another Vodacare - so he was lying.

Get up for work the next morning and SIX traffic lights out. This means my 17km route takes me almost 2 hours and I'm late for a meeting.

Yesterday driving home, I hit a pothole. Tyre tears and needs to be replaced in pairs - at a cost of between R3,000.00-R5,000.00 per tyre.

Geez dude.....
you make my week seem like a vacation...
go get urself a beer, make it a windhoek draught.

Get out of the other side of the bed tomorrow morning :)

Or better yet pull the duvet over your head and hibernate for the day..

It's raining, it's pouring
The old man is snoring
He went to bed and he bumped his head
And he didn't get up in the morning

i.e. It could always be worse ?

It’s karma. You were probably an evil SOB in a previous life. Suck it up and evolve.

I plan to do that ...

How charitable are you?

Not very charitable when it comes to actual charaties, homes and beggars. BUT I've helping to put 3 or 4 young girls through college by giving generous tips ;) It must count for something ...

Indeed a worthy cause ;)

Good.because charity benefits the giver more than the receiver.Don't feel too bad about your little calamities. It doesn't stay this way and there's always a positive outcome. That tax situation of yours seems to be the real dog.I suggest getting a good tax lawyer to re-negotiate th figure down to about R17k includind his fees, and then pay it off over 6 months or so.

During my first year exams (a week ago), I was driving back from Cresta, clipped a rock in the road, and wrote off my car :(. Honestly, this year can go fark itself! Just as things look up, I get f'd in the A.

I'm glad to say that I'm prepared to say goodbye and never, under any circumstances, even if I had a time machine, come back to 2010!
