I've had issues in the past with VoLTE on my Huawei Mate 10 Pro - but this last incident is bizarre :

I have a Rainbird irrigation system and supposed to be able to log in remotely to water the garden etc. However - it doesn't and I get an error. At first I thought a faulty irrigation controller - but that was eliminated after a week with their support. I then tried numerous other phones / networks / OSs (I should be a tester? ;) and it all came to down the Huawei Mate 10 Pro on the Vodacom firmware. Huawei SA can replicate the issue on the Vodacom branded - but all other firmware on other networks work ....

I've been in contact with Huawei, who have been in contact with the Vodacom testing guys to fix this issue - but makes me wonder what Vodacom actually do to the firmware upfront to 'break' things ? I thought they simply put on a skin, but they appear to be actually break whatever works on the phone :/

I've also heard the GPU Turbo update which is rolling out, has been halted on the Vodacom FW due to errors ...

Are you willing to lose Vodacom warranty?
Flash a different firmware. I don't know it will work on Vodacom phones, find the firmware with "Huawei Firmware Finder" app.
Full firmware files are more than 2GB large, a short name (without CUSTxxxx) indicate generic release. The last four positions indicate firmware version.

I'd prefer not to ;)

I'd like to see what Huawei can do for me actually. Perhaps, I'll ask them if they can flash the firmware themselves, as my fancy irrigation system is not ususable (although, this is Vodacoms issue, I'm getting more assistance from Huawei)
