What do you do with old PC's?

If I buy another PC, I have a P4 3.0ghz which is too 'new' to give away to a charity - but too old to be worth anything.

I already have a dedicated PC for storage and streaming, but what now? If I get another we'll have 5 in the house - with 2 idle. I hate idle PC's

What are the exact specs of the machine? If you throw a HDD of some kind in there you could get some cash for it I am sure, or donate it to some lucky soul

That would run Ubuntu like a dream! I would load a ton of movies or MP3s on there and turn it into an entertainment device in the bedroom or the spare room. When Wife or kids wants to watch something else. at least I can go somewhere and do something else!

Well, if that's what you want to do, how about sticking a card in, throwing some software on and getting your own back on call-centre agents/telemarketers/guavamint drones? ..please note, some construction required!
