What does KDE 4.4 offer?

I've been using the svn release of KDE 4.4 for a little while now, and I like it a lot. More streamlined and little tweaks here and there to make it feel more complete and functional, give it a whirl and see for yourself!

In all honesty you are asking the wrong person. I have never liked Gnome, been a kde man since kde3 days. Also dabble a bit in Openbox or xfce.

I also don't think you should try and compare the two as they follow different philosophies.

I do not use Gnome, I HATE Gnome.

I have always been a gnome guy... Gnome was fast and simple... Personally did try kde one or twice on ubuntu, but with no success...

Few weeks back I decided to make one more attempt to like kde... so I download a distro with kde as default desktop and I couldn't believe how smooth and awesome kde was....

KDE 4.4 is an amazing updated and I will never go back to the old one

This looks quite interesting I will have to give it a try. However after being disgusted with KDE 4, I moved over to Gnome. However always felt that Gnome lacks something, I might just have to get over my doubt on KDE 4 and try it out again.

Ubuntu (Kubuntu) is not the best way to experience KDE. While Gnome gets all the love KDE is treated like the long forgotten red-headed step-child

True true, although I have noticed that Kubuntu has improved a lot. I think it may eventually be ugly duckling turning into a swan. Although it could also turn in KFC

KDE 4.4 on opensuse sucks i hate the way opensuse handles packages really gives dependency hell when doin updates
