What does Vodacom do well, and where can it improve?

Coverage wise 8/10 they are reliable but prices coughing deep and I don't know if is the culture here in SA.

Good: Only coverage.
Bad: OOB. Newer bundles used before older ones. Data prices.
Stupid time limited bundles. Regular 100MB is R29. 100MB bundle that doesn't even last 24 hours should not cost R10. Neither should 400MB for 7 days cost R29 when a regular 500MB costs R99.

Good is their network and coverage.
Bad is that they haven't done enough to bring down costs. The data costs are a lot more than smaller competitors. Call costs are high.

Good - online system for upgrading is painless

Bad - LIFO method for data.Sort out OOB pricing.Network coverage in my area is poor.

Vodacom has good coverage in the big cities but one weekend I went to qwaqwa and everyone on Vodacom had no signal. Their data is also quite expensive but otherwise everything else is good

Good: Network coverage, though some dead spots on N1 when switching towers. 4G data coverage
Bad: Data bundle costs are prohibitively high. Website could be more user friendly. Handset subsidies not always on par with competition. Availability of iPhone 6 was poorly handled.

Great coverage but very very bad data prices and no lock system in place or the ability to stop out of bundle dates ,telkom mobile has a system such as this in place

Network coverage is ok. The charges are too much.
Data: I use 4-5gig/ month but your data is too expensive. Cut down on your data and call rate prices.

Good: data coverage and call center

Bad: data costs and service in store. I took me three visits to get a new phone.

Ugly: due to an administration error on Vodacom's side I was on the verge of being blacklisted! Vodacom's accounts department threatened to blacklist me for an unpaid account, without sending me a bill or invoice, what's worse is the unpaid account was due to a faulty phone that I returned which they failed to pick up that I had returned it!

Good: Coverage
Bad: The SMS page on their website needs serious improvement

Vodacom has great network coverage and very clear too... But data charges are waaaaaaaaaay too high and should cut it down.

Forgot the other bad:

Data must expire at the end of the next calendar month, no one wants to *111# and then get comprehensive report SMSs to them, this last for 30 days is crap, because then you have to try to remember, "did I buy it on the 20th or 22nd? Need to know so I can buy again before OOB". Much easier to remember "I bought last month and thus it will expire end of this month, better buy some data then"

Can't stand how they undermine our intelligence in 2016.

Do they really believe that a Galaxy S7 Edge with 150mb of data and 500sms/ month is awesome?

Good - plenty of coverage and friendly service.

Bad -data pricing and especially the out of bundle penalty.

The good: Vodacom has good network coverage. Easy to get through to customer support. The have vodacare, which repairs phones for reasonable prices.Great mobile app.

The bad: Unable to get sms notifications of data usage even after contacting the call centre. The website is old and not user friendly. The search engine doesnt work well. The data packages are still too high. At vodacom stores they have a samsung VR viewer with no phone inside on display. So its rather pointless trying to experience Virtual Reality at their stores.

Well
Great new app
Great customer service, especially with their online chat option

Can do better
Lower prices for their contracts, especially for loyal customers! Some of their contracts take the piss. If the Cell C had decent coverage, I'd have moved ages ago...
