I unplug the power cable during a HDD format?

Am formatting a 1.5TB drive and a storm is brewing. After 2 hours the drive is only 8% formatted... and our house is a magnet for lightning strikes

Google is no help

Cancel the format - use Task Manager. Power down. When you do it again, delete the partition and start new format.

EDIT: make sure you select the correct hdd!

Was kinda more getting to how to cancel the format and how it all worked out fine.
