What is a tech purchase you quickly regretted?

Maybe it became redundant (handheld GPS device or iPod/MP3 player before smartphones took over), or you bought it because it was the hype and seemed awesome, but now it gathers dust.

Paki shop cheap Chinese junk that doesn't work
Acer laptop in 2008. Came with 64bit but BSOD out of sleep mode on 64 bit Windows
Netbook I got for free. Even back then it was slow and useless
Dixon tablet (no Netflix 4k and it never got any Android updates)

Switch Lite. Tiny handheld with old hardware, tiny 32Gb memory, a blurry 720p screen and fixed sticks that would've been a pain to fix when they start drifting.

Nee dankie. Ditched that and enjoying the Switch 2 much more.

4000 Lumens LED light bulbs for the tucson. with Canbus Cancellers.
For dims the lights work very well, but in their infinite wisdom they decided to have Bright and Dim running of one bulb. There is a flap opening the design of a led bulb with two chips to the side lends itself to decent dim light. but for Brights the top and below is much weaker.
Dims is 50% increase over what it was, but brights lost easily 75% of it's effectiveness.

I buy a lot of tech stuff and haven't really regretted much of it. I generally spend way too much time trying to find reviews for the stuff I want first so I'm fairly confident it will be good when I get it.

I've bought a lot of stuff that I don't really use much but I knew that going into these purchases so no regrets.

Imagine you bought a real Android

not so much quickly regretted as it quickly becoming obsolete

- had a portable MP3 player
- had a Garmin GPS for navigation in the car

so actually both examples from the OP

I am extremely pedantic about spending money on crap, so I generally spend time researching it and by the time I'm done its redundant. But got myself a MacBook Pro M5 and so far loving it.
