What is a tech purchase you quickly regretted?

I don't know what people liked about the R.A.T. mice. Though it could be tweaked it didn't solve any problem. How come it is still going I dunno.

The only good mouse that Mad Catz ever made was the M.O.J.O. M2.

I was under the impression, wireless mouse with the same performance of wired.

Was at a LAN party the day I got it. Went down 5 places in COD.

Plugged my cable mouse back in, back to top 3 each match.

Daai ding is kak.

Runs a device without issue. 100w.
Has USB 2.0 plugs on the inverter itself.

Plug cellphone in, pop goes the inverter.
Get replacement, same thing.

After 1 week, each time you had to press the button real hard for the system to work. So my regret started quick.

1 year later, the regret is still there as the thing just got kakker and kakker.

My first Nintendo console and also the very last one. It's an overpriced POS.

Games are expensive and It feels like this console is more aimed at kids.

Thing kept overheating if you did not set the fan to max before playing.

Sold it and bought Asus which never had that issue in the same PC case.

TV tuner card for my PC in the early 2000s.

TV signal audio had a small hiss to it.

A year later my father bought his own different tuner card. No hiss on the audio.

After 1 min of the hissing sound, the regret was quite quick.

Only thing I can think of is the Logitech MX, wanted a compact mechanical keyboard to be able to take to work (was hybrid one day a week in office at the time), just ended up utterly hating the switches/travel distance and sending it back. They have their audience though, just my preference.

Otherwise it's stuff years ago that's cheap, when e.g. Friends or parents used to buy whatever was the cheapest instead of a little research.

I generally go try stuff or at least proper reviews as I don't buy tech that often. Galaxy watch 4 classic I borrowed and realized didn't work for wrist.

Other one would be Pixel watch 3, that one isn't really regret, I think the watch as a smart watch is great, prefer the old tizen notifications to left, but otherwise great watch, just not my style, more a regret it doesn't have proper watch crown / rotating bezel.

Not sure if really counts as tech, but only thing I can think of that I purchased was a midi piano keyboard, was too cheap. Actual feel of keys with step/resistance is too important, but was compromise as 100 EUR vs 1000, will probs get a proper end of year as I miss playing.

Some board partners had a hard time beating the heat on that one. It is possibly NVIDIA worst architecture. Then they did a phenomenal turnaround with Kepler.

Yes guess what it's optimised for? Mid to high end devices. Not your Cash Crusader Doogee probably running some Spectrum SOC with 1gb RAM.
Man I would've thought the way you go on about Apple being the second coming you'd have actually used high end devices. Turns out you used rubbish and cried over it.
