Sony FM transmitter that you clip onto bottom of your phone and then select a frequency on your radio to play your music from phone on your car radio. First thing I ever bought online (from eBay)
Pretty cool. Bragged with it with friends once or twice and never used it again. Still lying in a cupboard somewhere.

I have GAS (gear (photography) acquisition syndrome....just cant stop buying those shiny lenses. If you have any shiny exotic lenses to sell then dm me.
 
Go pro hero 11 mini... stopped working properly after 2 surfs. 2 year warranty, takealot won't accept returns and there aren't local agents.
 
Ticwatch Pro 3 Ultra ... so many issues.

Oculus 2 - it was fun - but - died within six months and Meta wouldn't offer support (even if returned via Amazon) - because it was bought and used outside of the US


...and these days - most Xiaomi products. I find the quality and support has degraded over the past few years, vacuums, headphones, phones, etc. Switching back to Samsung.
 
I paid R11k on BidorBuy for an OEM look Apple Carplay sound system for my e46 BMW. I was under the impression they were importing the Xtrons ones which are European and quite pricey in GBP so figured they were adding shipping and profits.
The unit that arrived was a POS Chinese copy with no shielding so inteferance galore and the worst sounding DAC and amp I have ever heard in my life. Buy it nice or buy it twice!
 
Samsung S23 FE.
Crap battery, crap fingerprint sensor. Could not stand that phone. Bought it on contract, traded it in after 1 year for a S25+ (still paying for the contract). No regrets on the S25+
 
A Google Nest, wanted to do the whole talk to your house thing and quickly got irritated with having to shout at the thing, now its a very expensive although quite nice picture frame

Yeah that kinda dies down after awhile as you also need other things to trigger events.

It worked well, except for when we were watching "The Block AU" and the people got into smart tech, so they would go "Google turn off all the lights" as a demo, and we would be watching without lights, it was hilarious

Yeah that can be annoying but funny. Ours was on some show and Google thought it was asked to play music so it started playing some odd music through all speakers.
