What is it with McBride?

...detailed the other numerous indiscretions McBride has been involved in since being pardonned..

Has he been convicted of any of these transgressions ? I can't recall any convictions, so this is dangerous territory.

AFAIK he has only been convicted once, and was sentenced to death. Oops, sorry, that didn't happen, all the stories in the old newspapers are figments of the imagination.

I don't have a problem with a pardon, expunging a criminal record (from an administrative point of view), but I do have a problem with trying to change history. I hope that the CC sees it the same way.

I'd like to see how McBride fills in his Visa Application Form for a visit to the USA or UK.

Jola, grow up and address the issue.

No one here disagrees that this is BS, fact is he killed/murdered people, no one denies this. You have to work within the constraints of the law and hopefully sense will prevail.

You are not allowed to say that - and that is the issue !

Sigh. You *are* allowed to say that McBride killed people. You are *not* allowed to say that he is a common murderer for doing so. Murder in the name of a cause is sometimes not quite the same as murder for personal gain.

Understand now? Want it explained one more time?

You're thinking like the ANC. People can be completely unsuitable for a position even if they haven't been convicted of a crime.

Could have fooled me, you were making caustic comments against yourself back there.

But let's just leave this now, nothing to be gained until the Constitutional Court decides on the matter.

And they will be damned whichever way they go. OTOH for protecting Apartheid criminals, on the other for protecting ANC criminals.
