I'm sure that I'm not the only one with this --->:confused: expression when looking at Microsoft Products.

In this case, more specifically, the Win 7 Editions.
What's the difference between Home, Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate??
(Thinking back on Mr.Shuttleworth's quote about Jaunty, "There will only be one edition launched, the Ultimate edition")

Basically it comes down to cost.

Home: Costs lots.
Home Premium: Costs lots mote lots.
Professional: Costs so much you need a business to pay it off.
Ultimate: You will be paying in blood and tears.

Oh and they all cost a fortune in bandwidth for the updates.

:D

Home basic it is then. As long as it can run Visual Studio without ANY hassles... I'll be fine.
I just use windows for programming, the odd game, and winamp (There's no Linux equivalent :()

VNC never worked so well on Vista...wonder if 7 will be better :P

@jem ... Thanks.

"Maximum physical CPUs supported" ... What about Dual Core CPUs, does that count as 1 or 2?

Anyone know?

"Remote Desktop Host" ... hmm ... will VNC, etc run on Windows 7 64 bit?

Dual or quad core is still just a single cpu.

Also interested in the Remote Desktop Host :/

In other words, I can use it to connect - but I can't connect to it?
