You said that the behaviour began a few weeks ago, I believe there is still a chance for you to subdue the behaviour and go back to your old sleeping way. All you have to do is to stop putting your hands on the pillow you sleep on because you forget to remove them. If you find it difficult to prevent yourself from putting your hands on the pillow, kindly ask someone you live with to constantly check up on you and remind you to remove your hands from the pillow.
