I'm looking for something that could be good value for money, ideally a backpack since a laptop bag makes it fairly obvious to any potential thieves that you are carrying a laptop.

One problem I've had is that my bags end up breaking as I carry loads so ideally something that is durable.

i dump my laptop in a Shoprite shopping bag, those cloth ones. Cheapest alternative.

Lol, I would have done the same but I may need to start moving around soon for remote working etc so I dont' want to do the same.

I didn't used to care before but once bought a cheap laptop backpack from China off Ebay and it ended up falling with my old laptop after tearing.

Put my laptop into a sleeve. Sleeve goes into an Osprey hiking back pack.

Thanks. Do you carry heavy loads?
HP Work notebook with accessories in the back pocket. My MacBook in the the middle. iPad and power banks in the front.
Still have place for stationary, first aid kit, lunch, water bottle, umbrella and a few other things.

Hard shell, straight into my camera bag.

Or any cheap backpack not worth snatching.

Will upgrade to a hard shell eventually. So far the sleeve is doing okay but I baby the backpack.

Are there any bags that can carry both a DSLR and laptop? Will save me time when going on trips instead of carrying two bags.

Bought a Targus carry bag for my laptop back in late 2000's Needless to say Life has not been kind to it. Time for a new Bag and new Laptop...

If you're looking for something durable, I'd suggest going for a backpack with reinforced straps and strong zippers. I had a cheap one a few years back that fell apart within months, so now I only go for well-stitched, padded ones. Something with a discreet design is also a plus so it doesn’t scream ""laptop inside"" to thieves.

If you want something stylish but still practical, Coach has some nice backpacks that balance durability with a sleek design. They also have solid reviews for quality, which makes them a good investment. You might find some options here: https://coach-bags.co.uk/

Mine has "Evetech" written on it. For some reason noone wants it.

End up getting a Manfrotto one. Cost a bit but don't regret it. It has lasted a few years and still going strong.

I definitely don't suggest cheap ones as they could end up costing you more in the long run as if the bag breaks or tears, you may be left with structural damage to the laptop.

These days I leave the laptop behind and run around with an iPad Pro in a leather manbag. I’m also growing out my hair to complete the look with a man bun.

Not bad really. I once had a laptop destroyed by rain penetrating the backpack.
