What local Internet users do online

Downloading is a popular activity among most iBurst subscribers, and here the majority of downloads are software. Music downloads are second on the popularity list while movies and videos are far less popular than one would expect.

Umm. That's because data is so expensive. You only get 3 gigs of usage. Not many movies you can download with that...It is cheaper to rent the movie. Why is it so difficult to understand that users with low usage caps won't download massive movies?

it's because iBurst shape the network to death that movies are not possible.

Who writes this Low IQ Crap?

Now who the hell would do a survey using Iburst?

I lived in the states for a while and let me tell you getting
used to 3/6 GIG a month is probably like quitting Meth cold turkey.

I used to have incredible speed, so much that I was too lazy to go and search for software on a backed up DVD, I would just download it again when I needed it

Give those Iburst people an unlimited cap and some speed and then u will see the usage stats change.

I currently have an uncapped ADSL account, but the speed still sucks in this country.

I would have no qualms about blowing up Telkom

Fat cats sitting with our money, getting "performance bonusses".

Cant wait for the new undersea cables to be finished.

As for the categories, they forgot to mention people like me,

ISP Backbone benders, hehehe

um, where did iBurst get this info from anyway? Was this a user survey? a thumb suck? Somebody else's preferences? Are they spying on what their subscribers are looking at?

This is straight from a survey they did a while back. I remember the questions and everything in this article is based on them.

Of couse they must be spying on their users as well, they probably can't wait for that British law to get passed so that they can get a reason to implement it in SA. :D

iBurst would do a survey using iBurst, imagine that. :p

It didn't say massive movies. "Movies and Videos" includes YouTube, pr0n and stupid email attachment type videos, that's why.

iBurst marketing of course. They should rather focus on rolling out their network in accordance with manufacturer guidelines - and earn customers.

Ditto.. and millions more would be behind such a move:D
They are only performing at filling their pockets (and their chronies), and shafting consumers.

ISP Backbone benders, hehehe
Not much of that to bend. Cache bending - lots of that:D

iburst sucks. use http-tunnel to get pass the shaping.

Sorry, but I found this article less informing than an essay my cousin wrote on turkey sandwiches. I mean lets be serious about it who in their right mind's can afford to download movies especially good quality movies via iburst? And anyway's why download if chances are that u probably know a sh*t load of people who already got the movie/series from someone else?

Try asking people for these things. Excuses galore. By the time you get it, it will be old news. Rather download it yourself. No wait (slap head), 3 gig cap, can't even do that. This was the most useless article I have seen in a while.
