Just been in touch with Axxess online support chat, as I noticed my mum's rollover data had not been credited to her account for this month.

She already has the smallest package as she didn't generally spend much time online, but with the current lockdown due to CV19 that has all changed....

Nonetheless I was shocked and peeved to be told by their support and in fact referred to their T+Cs that 10+10GB package does not rollover.

My understanding was all ISP/SP's are now forced via gov regulation to rollover unused data for at least 30 days?

Am I incorrect in my understanding or are Helskom just taking chances?!

As an aside my Afrihost unused day+night time data rolls over automatically (...usually).

@The Axxess Lady sent you a PM earlier re above

Good day, please note our 10gb + 10gb Telkom LTE does not roll-over like our other bigger packages.

Humour me too. I'm with MirageF1
She never bothered to reply. And canned response from their support team.

As expected.

Another useless, cheating SA company who care zip, even about poorer or elderly clients at a time like this, notwithstanding their CV19 email update which was merely a front to use as an opportunity to suck in more clients.

Why?

What is the logical and legal reasoning.
Humour me.

This is a Telkom policy, not an Access policy. I purchased this package when Axxess still promised rollover.

I could see on Telkom's side that the data wasn't going to rollover, so I called Axxess up.

They assured me that it would roll over, and that I should ignore what the Telkom SIM says, as they are providing it.

One of the reps even went as far as to say they'd take full responsibility if the data did not roll over.

The following month, my data didn't rollover. After a lot of back and forth, and getting nowhere, I took it to ISPA.

ISPA was very helpful, but long story short, Axxess either didn't know that Telkom doesn't allow rollover or they were withholding that info while trying to negotiate with Telkom.

I ultimately got an apology from Axxess, and was offered a refund if I cancelled, but I kept the service going anyway and they refunded me for my first month... and of course they added the exception on their site that the 10+10 account doesn't rollover.

The fact is, Telkom are in full control of data provisioning on these Sims. Axxess is nothing more than a reseller.

I don't understand. I buy telkom LTE bundles regularly and while the night time portion falls away at the end of 30 days the main part of the bundle lasts for 60.

It only applies to the 5+5GB package (Telkom Only) and the 10+10GB package. The 20+20 and upwards all have a 1 month rollover.

... and here's the 20GB for R199 with rollover.
