I've just returned the Xperia. I'm having breakfast at a coffee shop in the mall quickly then I have to go back and get another phone.

What would it be??? No Windows Mobile please.

Bold is a serious contender for me now - on prepaid.
I'm just looking for a good deal.

The Bold is excellent for email and browsing. What else is it good for? Can it do multimedia?

The video playback is amazing!
The screen may be smaller, but has the the same if not a bit better resolution than the iPhone.
v3g was using one at the conference and played the Quantum of Solace trailer that ships with the unit - bloody great is what I can say.

Already given you my 2c worth, No WM phone would exclude the Touch Pro. For me the obvious choice then is the N85.

If you want a simple phone that a grandma could use but still is a rich multimedia device get the iPhone, if not then get the bold.

I have the Bold, my upgrade from the 8310 which was my first BB the phone is awesome. It's much fast compared to the 8310 the GPS works great, I've never had a problem in Cape Town and the advantage of 3G is also excellent. Free browsing and email on the phone and if you want to browse on your PC/Mac just add a bolt on setup the Bluetoof and you are cooking!

The memory card access on the side of the phone is great so you can change cards if you wish! You can also sync with Itunes on your Mac, don't know about the PC software.

Now that's what I wanted to hear :)
Some feedback from an owner - thanks.
Anything that gets you irritated?

Personally, I'd choose the N96 if I was upgrading from my N95. If you loved your N95 and N95 8GB, the N96 would be the logical choice.

The GPS and battery on E71 is amazing. We drove from JHB to Kruger Park (5hrs) with Navigation. It only lost the satellite once, for a few minutes. The battery lasted the whole weekend despite intensive GPS usage.

I don't think I've ever heard anyone say a bad thing about the E71 so while it may not be the most flash device out there it certainly seems to be one of the best...

Personally no, but when I got the Curve the little trackball was rather interesting and I really thought this thing won't last 2 weeks. To my surprise it lasted way beyond and now my GF has it! We don't need to sms we can pin message for FREE :D

There is loads of software out there and the new HTML support in mails is excellent! I spend plenty of time on the myBB forum on the phone and its nice and easy on the eye's!

The battery is not to bad either, with the 3G radio on it doesn't last as long as my Curve did but it's plenty for at least 2-3 days and you can just charge it from the USB on your PC/Mac :D

We had 2 x E71 dead out the box in the office, both directors phones just wouldn't hold signal the GPS took ages to load even after the initial boot up.

But you never know could have been a bad batch :p I still like Nokia phones but after the BlackBerry change I don't think I'll rush back I like the idea of not paying for downloading my mail and not having to "connect" to get my mail and not paying the data charge!
