Wrong.
  • Bigger screen size on the same resolution = bigger pixels = ugly
  • N82 is HSDPA 3.6 Mbps
  • The N82 has dual ARM11 332 MHz processors
  • The N82 has Xenon flash
  • DVB-H means ziltch here in SA, we hardly have DVB-T
  • Internal memory is not a factor when you have microSDHC support
  • It seems you do not have access to GSM Arena cause the n96 ***ked af in the review.
If you want something newer wait for the N85 upgraded version with Xenon flash.

I've used HTC for years, culmnating in the diamond (first unit sold in SA). Tried an iPhone an d now I'm selling the diamond! Miss my TomTom nav, but on diamond battery life it was useless anyway.

Personally I don't think I will go for HTC. I've had a HTC Touch with the latest HTC Diamond Firmware installed with the TouchFLO3D etc....

I only used it for about a month then I sold it. The problem is not with the phone itself. I really don't know what it is I don't like about Windows Mobile. I mean, the Touch Pro, Omnia, Xperia, they are all nice phones but I'm unsure if I must get myself a Windows Mobile phone.

That leaves me with N96, Innov8, and what else???

ya a friend of mine just got the Diamond Touch. it looks flashy but its *** to use.

piesang, i seriously think u will either end up with another Nokia, or I reckon you should check out the i8510. I know its samdung, but it got new Symbian running, only thing is, i'm just not so convinced with the whole touch screen thing. A lot of the manufacturers arent getting the feel right. Apple got the feel right, but thats all it does. I still dig a KB on a device, or wait till I get my voice software installed, that types for you, then u dont need a KB. That also changes things a lot.

Roux, I wouldn't bother if I was you. I have discovered, after numerous attempts, that Piesang will only see and hear what he wants. It is nice to see you confirming EXACTLY what I have been telling him over and over again! Apparently he is an advertiser's dream consumer who falls for every bit of advertising shown.... :)
 
Then why has piesang not fallen for the iPhone? That is all about hype right :rolleyes:

Stop bringing up the same thing over and over again. If I don't like the N82 then I don't like it. No-one will change my mind.

If I get the N96, or whatever phone I want, and I don't like it then I just sell in on Gumtree. There are more than enough people on there that will buy any phone as long as it's the latest tech. And at the rate people are selling their N82's on there I'm glad I don't have one.

Perhaps ask him... my view is that he is not a total idiot! :) He realises Nokia is still the way to go but he is caught up in this whole "latest phone" thing. Little does he realise that the time it is taking him to decide means that the N96 will also be "old"

There is no accounting for some people's taste... I also found that my Dad at 60 odd years of age and my gran at 80 odd years also found the N95 to be useless and swapped it for a phone that could "just make calls".....

I already told you that I have no intention of changing your mind. My intention is to inform people of the truth after your numerous attempts to mislead them with the things you say.

Funny that I find as many N96's for offer on Gumtree and it was only recently released here... anyone reading this, please always double, or better triple check, anything Piesang says about a phone before believing it! My public service announcement for the day ;)

Why must I upgrade a contract and get a phone that is not even in the MTN Yello Trader? Yes, I know. I have a whole list of phones that I got from MTN that is not in the Yello Trader. But why take a phone that is more than a year old when I can get a phone that has just been released???

Maybe they dont know how to use it :) I also think the N82 wasnt a massive hit like the iPhone cause its just a really plain looking thing. People are now looking for flash value. Saying that, I am still getting an Omnia :) So ya, we all like some gadget and flashiness
 
I agree with JK8 the n82 is crap, that keypad is a pain in the ***, I had a SE K model with the same style keypad and glad I got rid of it.
