I was subscribed to mtn gamer by mtn, and I did not consent to this subscription service or request it, i just recived a sms telling me that I have been subscribed to MtnGamer! I did unsubscribe but this makes me think that they are doing this to more people! So i checked my wife's phone this morning also Mtn! And there was two subscription services loaded, one was R7 a day and the other R5 a day, now i have e-mailed them regarding this, but i don't want to leave it here, so what can i do from here?

I did opt out of all this subscriptions but i did not subscribe to them at all! And it is not the first time this happened now i want to take this futher i'm not just going to leave it here, if the do this to 100000 customers what are they making in profit by stealing!

You might as well piss in the wind. Nothing will come of your ranting.

One of the advantages of using a non-smart phone is that you don't get exposed to all of this rubbish!

:D

What I meant was, mostly, you get ignored by all of the scam artists when they work out you have a phone that can barely make a voice call or send an sms and move on to more appealing victims. .....

Not really, my old nokia phone - which does not even have internet access or anything (yes, I still have one) still gets spammed with voice calls and sms from telemarketers.

Fraudsters don't consider your phone model when attempting to defraud you, they just see a cell number, makes no difference.
When you refer to "rubbish" associated with smartphones, that would be all the constant little updates and static IP keeping your internet connection active and giving you high bills- I couldn't agree more that we could've done without all this nonsense...
